Sometimes, holding onto the corner mentality can help get a person to the top in a sense. I’m waiting on a person with both mentalities. I think that would be an interesting sight.
Part of the issue is that some street cats don’t understand that a degree from the school of hard knocks and a Wharton MBA compliment one another…It takes more than street smarts to get to the next level…Russell Simmons, Shawn Carter ( I gotta respect that man’s grind and call him Shawn since the Roc Nation Deal), Diddy, 50cent and a few others are have moved to that next level and part of their success can be attributed to their understanding their weaknesses and hiring a good team (lawyers, business managers…ect.) that have the skills that they lack….something we all can benefit from.
That’s truth for real! The Corporate & Legal power structures in this country smash the block mentality every time. Its all about balance, and knowing just as much about the workings of the corp. machine as the bigs guys do.
