This Is What It Looks Like

Ray Ban

We are all becoming familiar with Bereolaesque. We know that Bereolaesque behavior is the leading cause of sexy, success and style, in addition to relationships, wealth and etiquette, but what does Bereolaesque look like? Who represents it? How is it impacting you?

Last week, I did an interview with Trimaxx Blogtalk Radio “Authors Speak Out!” and shouted out JDakar, and the listeners have definitely been checking out the site, in spite of J. Dakar’s “hiatus”. I provided the listeners with a verbal description of Bereolaesque, but I also promised them a visual. I would be remiss if I didn’t promise you the same.

This post, I shy away from my usual charm and wit to present to you “Bereolaesque in America: This Is What It Looks Like”.
This Is What It Looks Like
L-R: Sen. Barack Obama, Sean “Jay-Z” Carter, David Beckham, Zino Davidoff, Pharrell Williams, Robert Redford, John F. Kennedy

Somehow these gentlemen all read my book without my knowledge because each knows what Bereolaesque is, looks like and the responsibilities that come with being it. They all have impacted society, fashion, politics, business, entertainment and sports and they wear Bereolaesque proudly. Do you?

Too bad this style has yet to hit in Texas - the 3X white tee is sooooooo played, lol. I’m not into fashion but this style stands out by itself and looks very crisp and clean; I likes =)

I’m with Cathryn. I live in Dallas and those “crisp white tee’s” are so abundant on our men, it’s becoming annoying. It gets to the point where I literally want to stop on the street and ask a guy, “why is it such a norm?” Maybe its a comfort issue but but I have friends that are just as comfortable in slacks as in jeans.

White tees aka Man gowns? People still wear those? That was hot in Baltimore back when ‘Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It’ was still hot. SMH

I may not be on their level yet, but I can definitely say that my swag is on the up and up.

Everyone says get your grown man on I say get your old man on. Throw on a sweater and some loafers once in a while and invest in a decent wardrobe and vocabulary.

I wish the men in Houston dressed like this. It’s funny because the ones who do dress like this are normally turned down by professional black women, as many of us feel as though they are bi/gay. It’s crazy because we look at these men all day long on tv, magazines, online sites, and yet we pass these stylishm strong men up for the 3x wearing brothers with the sean john jeans, with 5 chains around their neck. I
