This is such a huge issue that gets ignored by the American Public. The amount of control a few MNCs have on the world food supply and prices of staples is frightening. More frightening is the conscious dependence certain companies have pushed for on their unhealthily processed foods. Have you seen Morgan Spurlock's SuperSize Me? A little outrageous, but he makes a good point. The affects of a diet rich in processed products will not only affect your waistline and shorten your lifespan, but also make it more difficult to be motivated, energetic and alert. In my mind it's a major component of the cycle of poverty in the US. And definitely falls under the category of WTF! Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks so!
