It wasn’t until I looked at my desk calendar today that I realized I’ll be 25 in 25 days.
I’ve really learned a lot about myself these last few years.
I’m giving you the same opportunity with 25 random facts about me.
1. I have a younger brother who’s probably my best friend. People often think I’m an only child; for six years, though, I was.
2. I’m never not multitasking.
3. I’m not as well-read as I should be, or would like to be.
4. I’m never without my BlackBerry, but I do know how to disconnect from it.
5. I’d much rather text you than talk to you on the phone.
6. My closet is organized by function (jeans, khakis, shirts) and color (solids light to dark, then patterns). I have a separate closet for shorts, short-sleeved and t-shirts.
7. I don’t go a day without listening to music: I wake up listening to music; I go about my day listening to music; I fall asleep listening to music.
8. I have a hard time sleeping under anything more than sheets.
9. I hold the record at my high school of the most scholarship money ever awarded. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the total amount.
10. I keep my earrings in at all times and would not work for an organization that would disapprove.
11. I’ve studied four languages (Spanish, Latin, French and American Sign) but remember very little of any of them.
12. I love to cook, so I’m hoping to find a woman who won’t mind helping with the dishes.
13. I’m a virgin. I admit to lying about it when I was younger, but I no longer view it as something to be embarrassed by and now embrace it. The opportunity has presented itself a time or two, but I’ve waited this long, I think I’ll probably now wait until marriage.
14. I’m a HUGE procrastinator, but I always get the job done. In college, I began working six hours before a 20-something page senior business paper was due; I made a B.
15. My most prized possession is not my Lexus or my Rolex, it’s actually a tie between my diplomas and my music collection.
16. I’d love to one day act.
17. Nearly everything I do is an homage to my childhood friend Andrew who died a few weeks before our high school graduation.
18. I wear a ring daily that serves absolutely no purpose.
19. I shave every other day.
20. I’m 6′5″ but terrified of heights.
21. I’ve been told I snore, but I’ve never heard it. Until then I have to deny it.
22. My first concert was in 2007 — Norah Jones.
23. I have my memorial service already planned.
24. I want nothing more than to do good and do well & experience fatherhood.
25. I thought about committing suicide, but everyday I thank the Lord for letting me see another day.

20. My favorite color is yellow.
21. As an actor, I aspire to be like Jeffery Wright and Omar Shareef.
22. The last time I boo-hoo cried was 4 years ago.
23. I change my mind a lot.
24. Out of all my siblings, I have the strongest bond with my oldest sister.
25. John Coltrane’s music would be the soundtrack to my life.
26. I don’t have a myspace or facebook account.
27. I have a dark brown skin complexion but wish I was darker.
28. Being the best father for my children means giving them all of my attention- which is why I don’t have any kids yet.
29. My age can be calculated by the number of facts listed.

Definitely can’t go a day without music – my ipod is my bestfriend (lol),
I’ve studied 4 languages too.—-Portuguese, Japanese, Amercian Sign & French (which actually comes naturally because my of creole roots and early exposure to it)
I have a procrastination problem too.
I too have had bouts with suicide but am extremely grateful to God for victory over it!!!
I wear a ring often times just to deter the undesirable from approaching
I’m an extremely private person almost to a fault so I’ll my randoms here…lol

I don’t know a professional black man who still wears khakis anywhere. I don’t remember when we fell off the trend. But there was a subliminal memo that went out a few years back and put a halt to the fad.

I remember even crying in my sleep after dreaming that my brother had been killed. I woke up like, “What is going on?!” Then I remembered the dream.

Since I’m such a procrastinator, I’m the same way with messes at times.

I do. I was just thinking the other day how I used to wear khakis all the time and then I just stopped all of a sudden. I went out and bought a few pair shortly after. I’m bringing khakis back!
I should have said pants, because I have other types in there, as well, not just khakis.

I feel so lost now that my phone is malfunctioning and I can’t text using my qwerty keyboard. I can’t get in touch with people! You know, because there’s no way I’m actually calling.
I thought about working for Disney until I realized they have these stipulations (about every little thing) that they call “The Disney Look” that would prevent me from showcasing my fabulous earring collection.
By now I should be able to speak Spanish, Japanese, French, and Italian but because of my supreme procrastination skills and my propensity to get bored easily, I speak…English. And some Spanglish…lol
I don’t snore but I’ve been told I talk in my sleep by a whole slew of people so I suppose I do.
And I wear my class ring on my ring finger to ward off unwanted attention from guys…lol j/k Actually, what has happened on a couple of occasions is that a guy will say “That’s a nice ring” and then try to drum up conversation. Always awkward.
